The slow progress of re-laying the 30-metre road between Sectors 23 and 23 A has earned the anger of the residents. "Driving through the road is nothing less than a nightmare. The road is full of potholes. Some of them are 6 feet wide and 1 foot deep. Cyclists and rickshaws risk their life while maneuvering through the pothole," said Bhawani Shanker, a resident of Sector 23 A.
- About two years back when the RWA's had informed the then HUDA administrator about the pitiable state of the road, he had promised prompt repair. However, little happened.
- The work that began a month ago has come to halt for reasons best known to HUDA, Haryana Urban Development Authority.
The road that leads to Ansal's Palam Vihar and Sectors 4, 5, and 7 witnesses heavy traffic movement.
- Loose concrete strewn all over the road is forcing people to crawl at the speed of 20 km/h. Two wheelers are at a great risk.
- The road is too narrow for two-way traffic.
- About 100 m of the road has a concrete base held together in a mix of bitumen. But the base is crumbling under pressure of the vehicles. What a waste of time and effort!" says a resident.
