Gurgaon's Hotel Park Plaza - Kababs are never out of production.

The Mongol invasion of the 14th Century is not only remembered for the trail of destruction and death but also the kabab, that they brought with them. At that time it was just meat sprinkled with salt, which the Mongols barbecued and gobbled. Soon, it caught the fancy of the Indian chefs and they perfected it to a sublime art. Rest, as they say, is history.

Recently, one more eatery was added to the list of the food plazas of the National Capital Region of Delhi. And if you are in a mood to enjoy a kabab buffet for dinner then try out the recently opened The Great Kabab Factory at Gurgaon's Hotel Park Plaza.

Here more than 200 varieties of non-vegetarian and vegetarian kababs are on offer. Leading the list are royal shahi gilauwat kabab, better known as galouti kabab, the legendary Kakori kabab, pather ka kabab, which is said to work as an aphrodisiac. The vegetarian varieties include subz galouti, achari paneer tikka and subz aur mewe ki seekh.

(Click on "Full Story" for more.)

"The concept behind the Factory is to fill the customer up to the brim through sit-in-buffet," says Hygreev Karri, Assistant Manager of the Park Plaza.

The kababs are served in factory style, and the eater decides the pace of service. The service is unlimited and the customer can try out as many kababs as he wants.

The buffet consists of five varieties of kababs, seven varieties of breads, vegetarian and non- vegetarian briyani, two pulses, raita and of course a dessert. It is priced at Rs.595 for non-vegetarian and Rs.545 for a vegetarian buffet. The selection will change daily so that your every visit might be a gastronomic journey of discovery.

Besides all these delicious, melt-in-the-mouth kababs, the restaurant also has a good stock of all types of imported and domestic alcoholic beverages.

Hi,
Just by chance, I noted that you are "Gaur" (so am I), and you love passionately the "KABABS" so much!! But as per my knowledge goes, GAURs are strict Veggies. Is it only an advertisement campaign?

It is what you want it to be. Muslims are not supposed to drink and Sikhs are not supposed to smoke and Hindus, in general, are not supposed to eat beef!

Go figures! BROADEN YOUR HORIZON!

Park Plaza Kebab Factory (none / 0) (#4)

I agree with the author of the story. I went there with my family on my anniversary recently. The food and service were top class. After serving the Galouti Kebab, the chef came out and asked us if the spice was Ok or not and whether the speed of service was comfortable. We had a great time eating the various kebabs with ulta tawa ki roti and Raita. We were almost full when to our surprise the waiter asked us if he could serve us the "main course"!! The main course was fabuluous and the two Dals and Roomali Roti out of this world. Recommended this to my other family members and had similar response from them.
