Visually challenged students from Haryana, who have passed class XII, will be given admission to the University for Disabled, Chitterkoot Dham, Uttar Pradesh, free of cost. The admissions will continue till November.
An announcement to this effect was made by the chief guest, Jagat Guru Rambhadra Charya, chancellor, University for Disabled, at a two-day state-level conference for disabled, organised by the SSS World Disabled Welfare Society and Trust on the premises of Panchayat Bhavan here today.
In his inaugural address, he stressed the need for having a positive approach in life.
Earlier, he paid floral tributes to Louise Braille, inventor of the Braille script, by lighting a lamp.
Welcoming the chief guest, the founder president of the trust, Shyam Sunder Shukla announced that a school for 25 blind girls would be established at Kurukshetra.
