Two food processing units in the state of Haryana will benefit with the investment that will help them pitch to South Asian markets
Danish sugar and food ingredients group Danisco's India unit has opened two new manufacturing units in the Haryana with an investment of $8 million, the company said on Tuesday.
One of the units will produce blends for the ice-cream market and the other will make enzyme blends for grain processing, textiles and laundry detergents for South Asian markets.
"The changes in government legislation in processed food have spurred our functional system investment, while the obvious importance of biotechnoloy in South Asia has resulted in our enzyme investment," Neil Prasad, managing director, South Asia and Gulf States,told reporters here today.
