The Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) has directed the owners of 40 running illegally in the DLF area to close down immediately. These establishments fall in the residential areas of Sector 10 and 11 in Ballabgarh, near here.
The MCF had identified about 137 such commercial units and initiated action against a good number of them, last year. The units also include the ones which were located in Housing Board colonies in these sectors. The authorities sealed a large number of them. The matter reached court where the owners got relief on account of the stay on administrative action.
Those shops have been desealed.
According to MCF joint commissioner , Ballabhgarh zone, Pushpinder Singh Chauhan, the owners have been firmly directed to close the shops, failing which the civic body would take punitive action.
