To tap the rainwater that goes waste during monsoons, the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF), in association with the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), has decided to put in place a rainwater harvesting system in Surdas Park in Sector 8.
Though some residents welfare associations have set up a rainwater harvesting system in some parks, this is going to be the maiden effort of the municipal agency in the city.
Recently, MCF Joint Commissioner, Ballabgarh, Pushpender Singh Chauhan, along with MCF Executive Engineer (Drainage) Anil Mehta and HUDA Executive Engineer A. K. Maggu, visited Surdas Park to assess the ground situation.
