The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has decided to build a multi-level parking in Udyog Vihar Phase-5.
The proposal has already been sent to the higher authorities for approval. The work will begin in one week after the final nod. The Deputy General Manager, HSIIDC, Hamveer Singh, said that they had already earmarked the oneand-half acre land in Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and the work would soon begin after the approval.

BASIC FACTS
- The parking will have four stories with a capacity to accommodate 800 cars at a time
- HSIIDC also plans to build parking lots in various phases of Udyog Vihar
"The parking will have four stories with a capacity to park 800 vehicles at a time," said Singh. It will be made on a Built and Transfer basis. "After the approval, the HSIIDC will invite a tender for this pur pose. After allotting the work, the selected company will be allowed to regain its money by sticking billboards and other advertisement material on the parking walls," informed Singh.
HSIIDC has also plans to build parking lots in various phases of Udyog Vihar, said Singh.
It may be recalled that leading factories and corporate buildings function in this area. An equal number of factories and offices are in various stages of construction on the stretch from Udyog Vihar turn (National Highway No. 8) to Old Delhi border. This five-km stretch remains choked with traffic throughout the day. It takes hours to cross the road due to the heavy rush. The cost of the project and the number of floors of the multilevel parking are yet to be finalised, the official said.
