THE GAS Authority of India (GAIL) has sought a time period of 10 months for installing equipment on CNG supply lines before supplying gas to Gurgaon.
Meanwhile, the CNG distribution company Haryana City Gas Services (HCGS) has decided to get CNG supply in mobile cascades to its stations. The distribution firm has set a target of June 7 to start distributing gas to at least two CNG stations at Sector 29 and 53.
The Supreme Court had directed GAIL to start supplying CNG Gurgaon from April 21. Gurgaon has about 5,000 CNG-run vehicles including private cars, BPO cabs, private and Haryana state buses. At present all the CNGrun vehicles depend upon Delhi-based CNG stations.
