The Gurgaon Municipal Corporation will start functioning in July.
To work out the modalities regarding the staff required and infrastructure, a committee has been constituted by the state government, A C Chaudhary, Minister for Local Bodies, Labour and Employment and Technical Education, Haryana, said at Gurgaon today.
He said that the rumours about question paper leakage of the engineering diploma entrance examination conducted today were false and baseless.
"Not even a single question of the so called leaked paper matched with the original question paper," he said, adding that "a mafia was coming up in the country which befooled the people for amassing wealth by preparing a guess paper".
An official release here quoting the minister appealed the parents of the students appearing in the exam to remain vigilant against such miscreants.
"In Haryana there is such a foolproof system that provides no scope of paper leakage," the minister claimed and added that 1.23 lakh candidates appeared in today's entrance exam.
"Barring one case of unfair means case at Panchkula, everywhere the exam was conducted peacefully," he said.
Chaudhary said that in future a committee would be constituted "to identify those involved in so called paper leakage and strict action will be taken against them."
