Size does matter. That's the thought that strikes you the moment you enter Ambience Mall in Gurgaon and huge is the word that describes it best. One of India's largest mall, spread across one kilometer, it is a shopping experience in itself.
The moment you enter, you see shiny and stylish BMWs lined up in a showroom, which was one of the first ones to come. The mall has a plethora of international brands such as Debenhams, Marks & Spencers, Calvin Klein, Guess, Next and Hush Puppies.
It also has hypermarkets like Big Bazaar and Reliance Trends, attracting not only the affluent class but also the middle-class. Stores like Reliance Timeout would take most of your time and you would enjoy. Ambience also plans of coming up with luxury brands like Lladro, Versace and The Leela Palace hotel.
"We wanted to develop it as a destination mall. So we decided to have a five-star hotel within the mall. The soft launch of The Leela Palace will be in October or November. We also have a seven-screen PVR adding to the attraction list of the mall. Ambience is a large mall and we have tried to cater to all the segments of the society. That's the reason we have a range of stores -- from BMW and Debenhams to Big Bazaar," says H Shah, adviser (strategy and planning) to Ambience Group.
