Union railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will soon inaugurate various projects of the Northern Railway, besides laying the foundation stone of the Jhajjar railway station. During his day-long visit to Haryana soon, the railway minister will be accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Giving this information, Member of Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda said during this visit, the railway minister would also lay the foundation stone of the Sonepat-Jind railway line at Gohana and would dedicate to the people the Rohtak-Jakhal double line. Apart from this, the railway minister would also inspect the electrification works being undertaken on the Rohtak-Delhi section of the Northern Railway, he added.
"The railways has decided to upgrade the Kosli railway station. The work on beautification of the platform and computerised railway reservation would start soon," the MP said, adding that railway officials had agreed to halt the Chandigarh-Jaipur train at the Kosli railway station.
The issue of railway overbridges being constructed at Rohtak was also taken up with the Northern Railway general manager, who assured that the work on the projects would be expedited, Hooda said.
He said the railway minister would also lay the foundation stone of the Jhajjar railway station on the Jhajjar-Rewari railway section. Modern facilities would be made available at the Jhajjar railway station.
The work on the 81-km Rewari-Rohtak-Jhajjar railway line was going on at a fast pace and the project would be completed on time, he added.
