Education budget hiked substantially in the last 3 years'
`Efforts towards improving sex-ratio bearing results'.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Thursday that his regime was committed to providing quality education to the youth and the budget of the Education Department had been enhanced substantially over the past three years.
Addressing the students and faculty of Sainik School, Kunjpura, near Karnal on the 48th Founder's Day of the school, he noted that a Defence University, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Central University were going to be set up in the State.
A university for women has already been set up at Khanpur Kalan in Sonepat district which he claimed is the first university in North India for women. Also, a University of Health Sciences has been set up at B.D. Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak while the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Education City is coming up at Kundli near Delhi to facilitate establishment of world-class educational and research institutions.
