`Keep the heavy traffic vehicles away from the internal colony roads' in Palam Vihar

Of late, the residents of Palam Vihar have had to worry about some heavy-duty problems. What has happened is that heavily loaded trucks have started using both Bijwasan roads to save the trouble of going via Kapashera Border. This means more traffic chaos and living on the edge for all the other motorists. Interestingly, this movement is in violation of the very order, passed by the police, which is prominently displayed at the check posts on the way. Obviously, this is happening in connivance with the local police. The problem becomes worse when there is a breakdown on these narrow roads or some some heavily loaded trucks try and pass each other from opposite direction.
This is leading to snarls, especially during rush hours every morning and evening. It is at this time that the regular commuters are left to feel the heat. It is expected that concerned authorities will do the needful to check this public nuisance at the earliest.
