The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has still not made clear the status of the plots in Sector 57 given to 200 allottees in an open draw of lots even after five years.
The allottees are running from pillar to post to clarify the position. "The HUDA had allotted us plots in this Sector in 2005. We are paying regular installments to the bank against the property. But we have not yet been given physical possession of the plots,"said Hari Om Sejwal, an allottee.
<img align="left" src="http://www.qbtpl.net/images/huda.jpg">A letter that she received from the HUDA Estate Office in September 2009 says, "It is intimated that this plot (no 2602) has been omitted in the revised demarcation plan of Sector 57."
The HUDA has revised the map of this sector thrice and omitted many such plots that it had already allotted.
The residents have held several rounds of meetings with senior HUDA officials. They recently met HUDA Administrator Nitin Yadav and urged him to do the needful. "HUDA had allotted me a plot in this sector in November 2004 but now the officials say that my plot has been omitted," said Aman Kumar, another allottee. Most of these people are staying on rent and are paying installments also.
"I call up HUDA officials every day. Officials in the Estate Office assure me that everything is fine.
They have been doing that since 2006 when I got a plot," said Vishal Verma, a resident of Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi.
According to the allottees, the HUDA had assured them they would get alternative plots in this sector, as some plots are vacant.
Till date, no such arrangements have been made. The excuse is that there are no approach roads.
